Patna: The then Sub-Divisional Officer of Muzaffarpur (East) Mahrshi Ram, who is Deputy Director (Welfare) in Munger at present, was on Wednesday arrested by Bihar Vigilance Bureau from his Phulwarisharif house here in connection with a land scam. A vigilance team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Nath Mishra raided the house of ram here and took him into custody, vigilance sources said. Ram has been charged with getting a plot of land ‘illegally registered’ in favour of land mafia ignoring “rightful claim’ of a family living in Muzaffarpur when he was Sub-Divisional Magistrate there in 2006.
