CHANDIGARH: Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh on Wednesday announced an increase in the rate of dearness allowance payable to the State Government employees from the existing 35 per cent to 41 per cent of the pay effective from July 1, 2007. The arrears on account of the enhancement made in DA would be paid in cash from July 1, 2007. Mr. Singh said that the additional DA would put an additional liability of Rs. 132 crore on the State exchequer during the eight months of the current financial year and Rs. 198 crores during the next financial year.
