Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress State president T. Siddique on Wednesday alleged that the government was using the police to sabotage the inquiry in the Kiliroor case apart from extending all protection to Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy, who had been accused of being the VIP who visited the victim Shari in hospital. In a statement here, Mr. Siddique said the Ettumanur First Class Judicial Magistrate, while considering a private petition seeking an inquiry into Shari’s death and the threats she had to face, had ordered the Ettumanur police to carry out the probe. The government had, however, appointed a Left-leaning police officer as a follow-up to the Court order.
