“Provide jobs to kin of clash victims”

Staff Reporter

TIRUNELVELI: The Tenkasi Peace Committee, which was formed after the recent clash between two groups that resulted in the killing of six persons, has appealed to the State Government to give employment to a qualified person from each family of the deceased.

Since unemployment was the main reason for frequent clashes and murders at Tenkasi, the Government should take steps to establish industrial houses with massive investments. Above all, a permanent peace committee should be instituted so that even altercations or difference of opinion between rival groups can be sorted out.
