BANGALORE: Postal defeated Oriental FC 5-0 in the Super Division football league at the Football stadium here on Wednesday.
Under overcast conditions, the Postal team looked in a hurry to beat the rain and their opponents and it did just that for the team’s third win from five matches.
Postal shot into the lead through Einstein in the 23rd minute and almost at the call of half time Srinivasa made it 2-0.
On change of ends, with Oriental unable to break through the rival defence, the flow was generally one way and Postal added three more to the tally through Einstein (69th), Arun Pandey (75th) and Ramesh (88th).
While Postal has 11 points (three wins, two draw) from its five outings, Oriental suffered its third loss, also from five fixtures and has six points to show.
In the A Division league played earlier, AGORC and Thilak Memorial shared two goals and points. Raju gave AGORC an early lead in the fourth minute and Christopher restored parity for Thilak Meorial in the 26th.
