Correspondent

The party, which during its rule failed to take up a single project, is now making a hue and cry

‘Party unable to digest the various developmental programmes undertaken by Congress Government’

MAHABUBNAGAR: Zilla Parishad Chairperson K. Damodhara Reddy, Yedma Kishta Reddy, Kalwakurthy MLA, criticised TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu for his allegations on Kalwakurthy lift irrigation scheme in the district.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday evening, they said that the allegations levelled by the TDP leader are baseless.

Launching a scathing attack on TDP, particularly against Chandrababu Naidu, the Congress leaders said that the party president’s visit of Mahabubnagar district on Monday is to organise road shows. They alleged that the TDP, which during its nine year rule failed to take up a single irrigation project, is now making a hue and cry over the ongoing irrigation projects.

Mr. Damodhara Reddy said that the party is unable to digest the various developmental and welfare programmes undertaken by Congress Government, including enormous hike in pensions, houses to the poor and long-pending irrigation projects. The Congress leaders alleged that the Telugu Desam Party is trying to create hurdles in the ongoing irrigation projectsDCC president S. Prakash, Muncipal Chairperson Obedulla Kotwal and others were also present.
