Trade show begins today; 75 exhibitors to participate

Governor R.L. Bhatia to inaugurate the three-day show


Show is jointly organised by K-BIP, KSIDC and Kinfra

50 international buyers confirm participation


KOCHI: Trade and Technology Business Show (TTBS), showcasing seven key industrial sectors in Kerala, will open here on Thursday at the Galfar Convention Centre with 200 buyers and 75 exhibitors having confirmed participation in the event.

Agro and food processing, Ayurveda and herbal products, coir, handloom, handicrafts, bamboo, screw pine, and rubber products will get a major exposure at the show, Industries Minister Elamaram Karim said here on Tuesday.

Governor of Kerala R. L. Bhatia will inaugurate the three-day Business Show at 10.30 a.m. in the presence of the Industries Minister and senior officials from the Industries Department.

The three-day show is being organised jointly by the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP), Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra).

Among the participants will be 50 international buyers and 25 international exhibitors from the USA, UAE, United Kingdom, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Oman and Turkey among others.

The food and agro-processing products on show will include spices and herbal products, organic produce, dairy and confectionary items, food processing and packaging, and kitchen equipment.

Ayurvedic products, spa centre, therapeutic services, and herbal oils will also be part of the three-day show along with products from coir, screw pine and rubber.

Coir mats and carpets, coir mesh matting, coco logs, coir yarn and pith, non-woven coir products and coir products for interiors, coir fender and needled fenders will be on show.

Bamboo curtains and blinds, cane and bamboo furniture, mural paintings and bamboo products for interiors will also be among the exhibits.

Mr. Karim said that the three-day show would highlight Kerala’s industrial agility and knowledge-based skills.
