Sunitha, Kamakshi shine

VIJAYAWADA: Karnataka’s Sunitha Vasudevan (six for four and four for nine) and Tamil Nadu’s Kamakshi (six for eight) hogged the limelight with their brilliant spells at the end of the first day’s play in the two-day South Zone senior women cricket tournament at Anantapur on Wednesday, according to information reaching here.

The scores: Tamil Nadu 50 in 35.1 overs (Sunitha Vasudevan six for four) & 31 for 8 in 22 overs (Sunitha Vasudevan four for nine) vs. Karnakata 27 in 31.1 overs (Kamaskhi six for eight, P. Kamini three for nine).

Andhra 114 in 67.2 overs vs. Hyderabad 66 for four in 22 overs.

Kerala 176 in 89.3 overs (Shobana 71, Shika Pandey four for 69, Santhoshi Rane three for 52) vs. Goa 25 for one in 13 overs.
