Central Zone well placed

VISAKHAPATNAM: Central Zone, restricted South Zone to 115 in its first innings and at the end of first day’s play, scored 83 for three in the round-robin match of the ACA inter-zone seniors’ tournament for the Venkatagiri Cup at Kakinada on Wednesday.

The scores: South Zone 115 in 56.4 overs (Bhanu Prakash Reddy 41, V.V.V. Appa Rao three for 26) vs. Central Zone 83 for four in 34 overs. — Special Correspondent
