Kerala Govt. rewards Uthappa

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has decided to award Rs. three lakh to Robin Uthappa, a member of the team that won the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters after a cabinet briefing, Mr. Achuthanandan said Rs. Five lakh had already been announced for S. Sreesanth, who is from Kerala.

Though Uthappa’s family lives in Bangalore, his mother is from Kozhikode in Kerala. — PTI
