Heart of the matter

The city police are conducting a series of medical camps for detecting lifestyle diseases among police personnel and their families. The project, ‘Spandhanam,’ is becoming a model for other government departments and private organisations. So far, 41 medical camps have been conducted. Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Thursday formally inaugurated the programme. ‘Spandhanam’ medical camps will routinely visit police stations and conduct diagnos tic tests on police personnel.
