DMK, allies to discuss bandh tomorrow

PUDUCHERRY: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its alliance partners will meet here on Saturday to discuss issues related to observing a bandh on October 1 in the Union Territory also demanding speedy implementation of the Sethusamudram project.

According to a release, convener of the party’s Puducherry unit R.V.Janakiraman would preside over the consultative meeting.

Leaders of the Congress, the Pattali Makkal Katchi, the Communist Party of India, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, the Dravidar Kazhagam and the Indian Union Muslim League would participate in the proposed meeting.
