Diseases to be monitored

KOMARAPALAYAM: Doctors practising in private establishments, lab technicians and Government doctors have been asked to report to the Municipality about treating patients with mosquito-related diseases.

According to Municipal Commissioner K. Balakrishnan, following a direction from the State Public Health Department, the civic body has asked for a list of the patients treated for malaria, dengue and other mosquito-related diseases with the name, age and address.

This was to keep tab of such diseases and initiate control measures, he said. The programme is in force from Tuesday.
