ATTUR: A 35-year-old farmer was injured when another farmer reportedly shot him with a country-made gun at Talavasal, near here on Wednesday.

Police said that two groups of persons clashed because of a land dispute in Mani Vilunthan village.

A farmer Arjunan (65), allegedly took his country-made gun and fired. Murugan, who was severely injured, was rushed to Attur Government Hospital. His relative, Rajammal also sustained injuries in the clash and was admitted to a hospital. Police seized the gun and arrested Arjunan.
