Seven killed in road accident

Allahabad: Seven persons including two women were killed and two others were seriously injured in a road accident here, police said.

The mishap took place near Naini in the district when a truck coming from across the Yamuna river over-turned crushing seven person to death on the spot.

Among the deceased, two were locals, four people including the two women were pilgrims from the Andhra Pradesh while one is yet to be identified, Kydganj police station in charge, Sushil Kumar Singh said.

The driver and helper of the truck were also seriously injured in the accident and have been admitted to a local hospital, he added.
