Plastic waste collection drive today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Local Self-Government Paloli Mohammed Kutty has sought the cooperation of the public to make the plastic collection drive on Friday a success. The department has taken various steps to enforce the ban on plastic.

The week-long drive launched on Wednesday is one such initiative. As plastic waste lying around cannot be collected in a day, as a first step it has been decided to collect such waste from houses, public places, educational institutions, hospitals, railway stations, government offices and water sources with the involvement of individuals and organisations.
