Ranchi: A fodder scam convict, Pramod Kumar Jaiswal, died after a massive heart attack at the Birsa Munda Central Jail here on Thursday. Jaiswal, who was in his 50s and was in jail for the last 18 months, suffered a stroke at around 10 A.M., jail officials said. His body was later sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy. A supplier by profession, Jaiswal had pleaded guilty in 33 cases of the Rs 950- crore fodder scam that was unearthed in the 1990s when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar. PTI
