The playing area at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal), venue for the third one-dayer between India and Australia on October 5, has been named as Visaka Ground, according to G. Vinod, Minister and President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The far end — opposite to the pavilion — will also be called as Visaka End. “We are grateful to Visaka Group for coming to our rescue when the HCA was actually broke and not many sponsors were willing to come forward.
