CZ takes lead

VISAKHAPATNAM: Central Zone gained the first innings lead over South Zone in the two-day round-robin cricket match of the ACA seniors inter-zone tournament for the Venkatagiri Cup at Kakinada on Thursday.

Meanwhile, both the matches of the ACA inter-zone under-19 tournament for the N. Venkata Rao Trophy (one-day) at Vizianagaram on Thursday were washed out.

The scores: South Zone 115 and 97 for three in 50 overs (M. Suresh Kumar 45) drew with Central Zone 138 in 65.1 overs (M.S.K. Prasad 51, Md. Faiq four for 52.
