Sharing grief: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu consoling Sakkubayamma, widow of D. Anjaneyulu, at Thurpu Naidupalem on Thursday. ONGOLE: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday paid glowing tributes to the former Minister, Damacharla Anjaneyulu, for rendering selfless services to the people and remaining loyal to the party till the end. He said the death of Anjaneyulu was an irreparable loss to the party in Prakasam district. Mr. Naidu said that he was dismayed by the fact that Anjaneyulu’s family had to put up with three tragedies in the last one year. While his grandson died due to illness 10 months ago, Anjaneyulu himself died on Friday last and his second son Jaganmohana Rao (55) died on Tuesday, plunging the family in grief. Saying that fate had been cruel to the family, Mr. Naidu exhorted the family members to face the crisis with fortitude. Touched by the tragedies, he came down personally to convey his condolences to Sakkubayamma, widow of Anjaneyulu, and other family members. After attending the Polit Bureau meeting of the TDP in Hyderabad, he flew down to Ongole and then drove to Thurpu Naidupalem, the native of Anjaneyulu, some 15 km from here. He placed a wreath on the body of Jaganmohana Rao. He later visited the district party office in Ongole and garlanded the portrait of Anjaneyulu. Speaking to newsmen, he said that Anjaneyulu held Endowments and Marketing ministries with aplomb.
