MACHILIPATNM: Steps will be taken to provide drinking water and sanitation in all Zilla Parishad schools and money will be sanctioned for construction of additional classrooms, Krishna Zilla Parishad chairman Kukkala Nageswara Rao has said. Presiding over the Zilla Parishad general body meeting here on Thursday, Mr. Nageswara Rao said repayment of loans by the beneficiaries of Indiramma housing scheme could be done online. The State Government had put in place such a system for the convenience of the beneficiaries and the banks. Earlier, several members said there was an inordinate delay in the disbursement of loans to the beneficiaries selected even in the first phase of the scheme. TDP walkout The TDP walked out of the meeting alleging that there were irregularities in the scheme. Online paymentMr. Nageswara Rao said beneficiaries for housing in the villages earmarked for the second phase of Indiramma scheme were being identified as per the norms and loan amounts would be paid to them online. Joint Collector S. Suresh Kumar said three MHOs would be deployed in each mandal to make payments to the beneficiaries. ReviewingDistrict Collector Navin Mittal was reviewing the housing programmes in very mandal personally, Mr Suresh Kumar said. Nandigama MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Zilla Parishad vice-chairperson Tatineni Padmavati, ZPTC Kagitha Venkata Rao, K.P. Reddaiah, Valpula Parameswara Rao, Lam Tantiya Kumari and MLC Chigurupati Varaprasad and others spoke on various subjects at the meeting.
