Army rescues 330 people

Belgaum: Personnel of the city-based Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) rescued at least 330 people who were marooned in Gadag district recently.

According to the MLRIC Commandant, Brigadier Ranjit Mishra, here on Thursday, a column under the command of Col. S.U. Dashrath moved to the affected village, Radder Nagnur, in Nargund taluk on September 19 following a request from the Deputy Commissioner of Gadag district.
