KOCHI: The Periyar Malineekarana Virudha Samithi (association against pollution of the Periyar) will organise a convention during the first week of November to press its demand for protection of residents of Eloor and Edayar affected by pollution and preservation of natural resources. Environmental and social organisations will attend the meet. The logo for the event was released here on Thursday. Purushan Eloor of the samithi said the convention was part of the agitations being organised by environmentalists and social activists to protect the lives of thousands of Eloor and Edayar residents.
