BSNL’s new facility

BSNL Chennai Telephones mobile customers who wish to avoid unsolicited commercial calls and messages can make a ‘do-not-call’ request by sending a text message (SMS) “DNC ACT” to 53733.

A release here said landline customers can also register for the ‘do-not-call’ list by calling 1500. A customer who continues to receive telemarketing calls/SMS after 45 days of registration may complain to BSNL and action would be initiated against the telemarketer, the release said.
