Awareness programme

CHENNAI: The Sri Siddhanta Foundation organised an awareness programme on the ‘Friends of Police’ movement for residents of about six villages in and around Mambakkam in Kancheepuram district at the Government Higher Secondary School, Mambakkam, recently. Inspector General of Police (Social Justice) Prateep Philip explained about the advantages of community policing and being Friends of Police. About 100 villagers were enrolled as members of the movement, a release said.
