Big win for Karnataka

VIJAYAWADA: Karnataka defeated Tamil Nadu by eight wickets in the South Zone senior women’s championship at Anantapur on Thursday, according to information reaching here.

The scores:

Tamil Nadu 50 and 37 in 32 overs (Sunitha Vasudevan five for nine, Vilasini three for nine) lost to Karnataka 27 and 65 for two in 22.2 overs (Vanitha 31 n.o). Kerala 176 & 35 for two in 22 overs drew with Goa 199 for eight decl. (Shika Pandey 46, Risha Rawal 41 n.o).

Andhra 114 and 96 for seven in 79 overs (Sowjanya three for 17) drew with Hyderabad 137 for six decl. in 42 overs (Revathi 53 n.o). — Sports Reporter
