MALAPPURAM: The Consumerfed will open 575 Ramzan fair outlets across the State this year. Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran will conduct the State-level inauguration of the fair here on Sunday afternoon. M. Ummer, MLA, will preside over the function. T.K. Hamza, MP, will do the first sale on the occasion. Till October 13The Consumerfed will provide 25 items at the fair, including 13 items with Government subsidy, said Consumerfed director P. Nandakumar here on Friday. He said the remaining 12 items would be made available at a price 10 per cent less than in the open market. The fairs will continue till October 13, he said. 200 in MalappuramThere will be 200 outlets in Malappuram district alone. In Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Palakkad and Kannur districts, there will be 50 Ramzan fair outlets each. In Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Thrissur, there will be 25 outlets each. Ten outlets each will be opened in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts, while in Wayanad district, there will be five outlets.
