Hosur: Minister for Information and Publicity Paruthi Izhamvazhuthi handed over land documents under the 2-acre land scheme to 838 beneficiaries at Denkanikottai on Friday.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has fulfilled all its poll promises after coming to power, he said.
The Minister distributed Rs.1.98 crores to 1,547 beneficiaries towards welfare assistance.
Of this, Rs. 24 lakh was given under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers and Farmes (Social Security Scheme) to 50 beneficiaries, house site pattas worth Rs. 40.16 lakh to 637 beneficiaries and group houses under the Indira Awaas Yojana to 10 beneficiaries.
The Minister distributed prizes to school students in connection with the centenary celebrations of revolutionary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. He later garlanded the portrait of Bhagat Singh.
