Congress activists stage dharnas

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress activists across the State staged dharnas in front of the 1,428 village offices demanding the resignation of Forest Minister Benoy Viswom in connection with the Ponmudi land deal.

The dharnas were staged under the auspices of the Mandalam Congress Committees. Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala inaugurated the State-level function in front of the Neeleshwaram village office in Kasaragod. The KPCC statement said here on Friday that the United Democratic Front would stage dharnas in front of 53 taluk offices in the State demanding the Minister’s resignation. — Special Correspondent
