VIZIANAGARAM: Veteran stage artiste in Andhra Pradesh, Pisapati Narasimha Murthy died of illness at a private nursing home here in the early hours of Friday. He was 88 and survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
Several awards
Member of Sangeeta Nataka Academy and recipient of several awards, including ‘Kalaprapoorna’ from Andhra University in 1993, Narasimha Murthy, who was born in Ramunivasala in Bobbili mandal on July 10, 1920, began his career as a stage artiste and rose to prominence with his role as Sri Krishna in the play “Pandava Udyoga Vijayaalu” on the stage. Funeral will be held on Saturday.
