BANGALORE: The officer bearers of the Federation of Bar Associations in Karnataka will meet the Chief Justice of India and apprise him of the deteriorating state of judicial administration in the State, the federation President K.N. Subba Reddy said here today. Mr. Reddy told presspersons that the executive committee of the federation, which met three days ago, also expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that many posts of judges are vacant, and courts in several districts and the labour courts are not functioning for want of judges. He said five court halls in the City Civil Court Bangalore have been vacant for several months, and many cases relating to land acquisition and compensation for farmers who have lost lands are not being heard, putting litigants to severe hardship. This court has not had a judge for more than a year.
