A.P. has been given huge share of funds: Jaipal

MAHABUBNAGAR: Union Minister for Urban Development S. Jaipal Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh has been given a lion share in the funds allocated under Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT).

Addressing the meeting of Indiramma Sambaralu at Muncipal grounds here on Friday, the Union Minister said as against Rs. 640 crore for seven years under the UIDSSMT, Rs. 1,600 crore has been sanctioned during this year alone.

He said Rs. 110 crore have been sanctioned for three muncipalities in Mahabubnagar district to solve the drinking water problem.

To supply water from Koilsagar reservoir to Mahabubnagar town Rs. 76.43 crore has been sanctioned and the scheme will commence shortly, Jaipal Reddy said.
