BHUBNESWAR: All the 30 districts of Orissa will be covered under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde assured Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in New Delhi on Friday. According to an official release, the assurance came when Mr. Patnaik met Mr. Shinde and pressed for inclusion of all the 30 districts in the village electrification programme this year. The detailed project reports for all the districts had been prepared by the State Government, Mr. Patnaik informed the Power Minister. Mr. Shinde informed Mr. Patnaik that the matter will be placed before the Union Cabinet and that it may be possible to sanction projects for the entire State within the next 2 to 3 months, the release said. In another development, Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss assured the Chief Minister that the work on the AIIMS Bhubaneswar campus would start by January next year. The assurance came during a meeting between the two leaders in New Delhi during the day.
