DPCC chief honours nine staff members

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: It was a moment they had long waited for. And when finally on Friday Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J. P. Agarwal honoured nine of the staff members for distinguished service, their joy know no bounds.

Wishes fulfilled

Be it Pramod Kumar who has served at the office for 35 years, Nand Kishore who has diligently put in 23 years, or Harsh Kapoor, a senior of 19 years, all of them had their wishes fulfilled as Mr. Agarwal publicly felicitated these soldiers of the party in the presence of senior Congress leaders including Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Members of Parliament Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar at Rajiv Bhavan.

Sending out a clear message that good work would be rewarded, the DPCC chief lauded the work put in by all the staff members over the years. He also honoured and presented cash awards to the other six office-bearers.

A former DPCC president herself, Ms. Dikshit also recalled the dedication and work of these office staff members. Mr. Tytler also hailed their work and praised Mr. Agarwal for finally bestowing long overdue honour on them.
