NEW DELHI: Members and supporters of the Delhi University Researchers’ Coordination Committee held a protest demonstration on the North Campus on Friday to press their demands, including implementation of the University Grants Commission scholarship for research scholars.
“The UGC has proposed fellowships for M. Phil. and Ph. D. scholars of Central universities and students from various departments have already applied for this fellowship. But eight months have passed and there is no information or assurance from the authorities concerned on the payment of fellowship to the needy students,” said Vipul Pachori, coordinator of the Committee.
