Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam on Friday stood at 131.90 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 2,130 cusecs and a discharge of 1,584 cusecs.

The level in the Vaigai dam was 52.99 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 584 cusecs and a discharge of 1,841 cusecs.

The combined Periyar credit stood at 7,546 mcft. A rainfall of 12 mm was recorded at Periyar Dam, 2mm at Thekkadi, 125 mm at Marudanathi, 1 mm at Andipatti, 3mm at Sathiyar, 1mm at Mettupatti, 2 mm at Kalentheri, 3.6 mm at Chittampatti, 2 mm at Pulipatti, 1 mm at Melur, 1.5 mm at Thaniyamangalam and 16.2 mm at Idayapatti.
