The seven players — M.S. Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, R.P. Singh, Robin Uthappa and Rohit Sharma — were presented with a golden bat.

Gautham Gambhir and Joginder Sharma were, however, absent for the function.

Rahul Dravid, a Reebok brand ambassador for the past 12 years, presented the first bat to Dhoni.

Dravid, in his short speech lauded the efforts of the young team that did exceedingly well in coming up trumps in the tournament.

While congratulating the team members, Dravid also cautioned that they should not rest on their laurels and should strive to perform consistently for the next couple of years.

Dhoni thanked his young team for responding and rising to the occasion and hoped that the team continues to perform at the highest-level in the forthcoming series as well. In his speech, Yuvraj appreciated the role played by Reebok in promoting domestic cricket as well. — Special Correspondent
