Three-set men’s final at National

NEW DELHI: The DSCL National tennis championship that had featured best of five sets for men’s final over the years has been reduced to a best-of-three-sets final this year.

In the last eight years, the tournament had seen seven gripping finals going into the fourth set.

The organisers stated that the decision was taken keeping in mind various factors, including players’ views.

“We will see how it goes this year, and revert to five sets, if necessary,” said the tournament director, Manpreet Kandhari. — Special Correspondent
