BANGALORE: The services of the following special trains have been extended by the South Western Railways to clear the extra rush in October: Gorakhpur-Yeshwantpur-Gorakhpur weekly special (501/502): The train will leave Gorakhpur at 6.30 a.m. on Mondays and reach Yeshwantpur at 10.10 a.m. on Wednesday. The first extended service from Gorakhpur will be on October 1 and the last service will be on November 26. In the return direction, train No. 502 will leave Yeshwantpur at 7.30 a.m. on Thursdays and reach Gorakhpur at 2.20 p.m. on Saturdays. First extended serviceThe first extended service from Yeshwantpur will commence from October 4 and the last will be on November 29. The train will run from Gorakhpur via Secunderabad, Dharmavaram, Hindupur and Yelahanka to reach Yeshwantpur. The train will have a composition of one two-tier AC coach, one three tier AC coach, 12 second class sleeper coaches, five general second class coaches and two second class sitting-cum-luggage vans. Train no. 689 Bangalore City-Hubli tri-weekly special will leave Bangalore city on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11.10 p.m. and arrive at Hubli at 7.45 a.m. the next day. The first extended service from Bangalore city will be on October 1 and the last will be on January 31, 2008. In the return direction, train No. 690 Hubli will leave Hubli on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 22.20 and arrive in Bangalore city at 8.10 a.m. the next day. The first extended service from Hubli will be on September 30 and the last service will be on January 30, 2008. The train will run from Bangalore city via Yeshwantpur, Tumkur and Davangere to reach final destination, Hubli. Train no. 684 Yeshwantpur-Chennai special will leave Yeshwantpur at 21.15 on Fridays and reach Chennai at 3.55 a.m. the next day. On the return journey, train no. 683 Chennai–Yeshwantpur special will leave Chennai at 23.30 on Saturdays and reach Yeshwantpur at 5.55 a.m. the next day. The first extended service from Yeshwantpur will commence from October 5 and the last service will be on January 25, 2008. The first service from Chennai will commence from October 6, 2007 and the last service will be on January 26, 2008. The train will run from Yeshwantpur via Krishnarajapuram, Whitefiled, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur to reach Chennai. The train will have a composition of one two-tier AC coach, two three-tier AC coaches, 14 second class sleeper coaches, two general second class coaches and two second class sitting-cum-luggage vans, says a press release from the South Western Railway.
