Faulty auto meters

BANGALORE: A total of 638 cases have been registered against autorickshaw drivers found driving with faulty meters on September 18 and 19, a release from the Legal Metrology Department said. Some 3,854 autos were checked during the drive, and fine to the tune of Rs. 1,96,335 collected in 459 cases. Passengers may bring instances of faulty meters to the department’s notice (Ph.: 22207750, 22284917). — Staff Reporter
