Endosulfan victim dies

Kasaragod: One more suspected victim of Endosulfan pesticide spraying in the district has died after undergoing prolonged treatment for a mysterious disease, official sources said.

Mani (65), a resident of Ukkinadukawho had been afflicted with diminishing eye sight and liver ailment for long, died on Thursday at his residence. Hundreds of people are suffering from mysterious and painful diseases, said to be an outcome of the spraying of the pesticide in the State-owned Cashew Plantation Corporation land in the area. — PTI
