Smart card to other sectors

Sangareddy: Medak Collector B.Venkatesam who met the CGM urged the need to expand smart card to other sectors like issuing scholarships. At present the service providers and the SBI has tried the technology for pension, NREGP, SHG, crop loans and housing payments at a pilot project in Warangal. Later S.R.Aluru also addressed women from SHG groups at SBI bank here.-Staff Reporter
