VIZIANAGARAM: All the eligible persons who missed in the first phase of Indiramma programme would be issued possession certificates from October 2 onwards, announced Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana. He asked those who were left out in the second phase of identification also to submit applications to sarpanches/ MPTCs/MLAs/officials. Their applications would be considered after physical verification by officials, he said. Addressing a largely-attended gathering at Indiramma Sambaraalu at Ayodhya Maidan here on Saturday, Mr. Satyanarayana said in Vizianagaram constituency alone over 2,800 houses and 7,000 pensions were sanctioned in the first two phases of the programme. In the district 1.13 lakh houses and 43,000 pensions were sanctioned in the second phase. These are in addition to 78,000 houses and 25,000 pensions sanctioned in the first phase. Minister for Animal Husbandry Mandali Buddha Prasad, who participated in the ‘sambaraalu’ sanctioned nine bulk milk chilling centres and offered to sanction more, if necessary, as the government was keen on improving the economic status of weaker sections. Under the ‘Pasu Kranti Pathakam’, Mr. Prasad said 4,000 buffaloes would be given to the poor. He also announced supply of 1 tmc ft of drinking water from Tarakarama Theertha Sagar to Vizianagaram municipality. MP Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi, local MLA Kolagatla Verrabhadra Swamy and others spoke. Later, they distributed pension letters and possession certificates to the eligible beneficiaries.
