DEHRA DUN: All the eight trekkers, including four Russians, stuck at Raj Padaun on the Harsil-Mana trekking route for the past three days were rescued by a military helicopter on Saturday. Braving hostile winds and snow, the pilot and crew dropped two expedition members who were in good health at Badrinath and they were being brought to Joshimath by car. Three Russians -- Georgy Churakov, Svetlana Kazakova, Sergey Mokhov -- and a porter, Sajjan Pawar, have been flown to Bareilly for medical treatment while two others have been lodged in Gopeshwar, said Chamoli District Magistrate D.S. Gabriyal.
