Adilabad: Adilabad Collector Ahmad Nadeem on Saturday said those taking part in the Bhoo Poratam launched by Left parties will not be included as beneficiaries in various welfare programmes being implemented by the government. He issued instructions for dealing strictly with persons indulging in illegal felling of trees.
SP Anil Kumar assured that the police would curb illegal activity at the forest protection committee meeting held here. Besides, apprising the administration of situation following the land struggle, the department forwarded a list of names of nearly 30 habitual timber smugglers to the police. Adilabad Conservator of Forest B.S. Yousuf Sharief said the department has identified certain vulnerable places which might be encroached.
