VS has abandoned principles: KPCC chief

Staff Reporter

KANNUR: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala has said that the party will launch an action plan to rejuvenate its organisational structure in three months.

Inaugurating the district conference of Congress ward-level presidents here on Saturday, Mr. Chennithala said the party would seek the views of ward-level functionaries to revitalise the organisational set-up. A district-level mass movement would be organised.

Mr. Chennithala said the State was facing a big crisis as Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan had abandoned the principles he had upheld while as Leader of the Opposition to hold on to the power.

Terming the Left Democratic Front government’s reactions to allegations of corruption in the controversial Ponmudi land deal a political drama, he said the government was making all moves to save Xavy Mano Mathew, who had sold Merchiston Estate land to Indian Space Research Organisation. He challenged the Chief Minister to respond to 10 questions he had asked on the controversial deal.
