Alert on the banks: All three shutters of the Thenmala dam were opened 5 cm each at 11 a.m. on Saturday when the water level in the dam touched 115.82 metres. The shutters were opened after sounding an alert to those living on the banks of the Thenmala-Punalur course of the Kallada river.
