Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Members of various Dalit groups, under the banner of Federation of Dalit Progressive Organisations, took out a huge procession in the city on Saturday to express their support to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa to take over as the Chief Minister.

Hundreds of activists under the leadership of federation president and BJP legislator D.S. Veeraiah marched from Basaveshwara Circle to Mr. Yediyurappa’s residence. They submitted a letter of support to Mr. Yediyurappa stating that they wanted him to take over as the Chief Minister and continue various programmes taken up by coalition Government for the welfare of Dalits.
