KANNUR: The Government has sanctioned Rs. 32.45 lakh for road works in the Aralam Farm as part of project for rehabilitation of Adivasis in the farm. An official press release here on Saturday said that the works, announced by Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran at a function here last week to distribute possession certificates to Adivasis, included repair and renovation of 11 roads in the farm damaged due to rain. Fast called offIn another development, 32 Muslim families inhabiting the farmland called off their indefinite fast demanding allotment of land in the farm. The release said that the fast ended following talks between protestors and officials at the Collectorate here on Saturday. The release said that the Thalassery Tahsildar would visit the area on October 5 and submit a report to the Collector through the Revenue Divisional Officer. A detailed discussion would be held before October 20 on the basis of the report, the release added.
