Ramzan markets from tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 600 Ramzan markets will function from October 1 to 13 as part of the market intervention programme of the Cooperation Department.

The State-level inauguration of the markets by Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran will be held in Malappuram. Member of the Legislative Assembly M. Ummer will preside. Member of Parliament T.K. Hamza will open the sales.

An official release said that more than 200 markets would be organised in Malappuram district. Other districts would have not less than 25 markets each. Consumerfed would distribute the essential commodities for the markets at subsidised prices.
